“One of the bright, shining newcomers to emerge from Campania” Robert Parker Jnr.

Fiagre

Fiano di Avellino 70%, Greco di Tufo 30%. 20 year old vines, in calcerous soils. Fermented in barriques. Sweet aromas of honeyed apple and pear are enlivened by notes of flint and white pepper. Rich and round on the palate, offering an apealing sweetness of white fruit flavours.

Tauri

2 bicchieri rossi Gambero Rosso 2008

This wine shows an intense ruby red color. The nose is intense, clean and pleasing aromas which start with hints of black cherry and violet followed by aromas of blueberry, blackberry, carob, plum, licorice and vanilla. In the mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors and good tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry and plum. Tauri ages in barrique for 8-12 months.

Taurasi Vigna Macchia dei Goti Aglianico

3 bicchieri rossi Gambero Rosso 2007

100% Aglianico di Taurasi. Grown in volcanic soils at high altitude, giving the wines a wonderful natural acidity and tannin structure. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged in Slovenian oak casks for 18 months. The wine is then aged a further 18 months before release. Elegant tight perfumed nose, then lots of fruit intensity with a very fine tannic finish. Gembero Rosso hails the wine as one to remember and to preserve made by the "Professor" of Taurasi.

“Dark berry fruit with earthy aromas and elegant touches of spice. Very fine tanins to finish. Gambero Rosso
