Vinea Marson (Heathcote,
Victoria) This vineyard belongs to experienced winemaker Mario Marson, who perhaps is not so well known, however was a winemaker at Mount Mary for 15 years and also more recently at Jasper Hill. His vineyard is on the Eastern slopes of the Camel Ranges in Heathcote on Cambrian soils.
Viognier The aromas of this wine are typical for viognier - spices, floral, quince and apricot. On the palate, whilst the fruit shines, there is a restraint and freshness to the palate
Rose Made from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Nebbiolo. Light crimson in colour, the wine displays fragrant small berries and floral aromas. The palate exhibits cherry and small berry flavours with great length and a dry, bitter almond finish. Fermented dry. A great summer wine, it should be served lightly chilled
Nebbiolo Dark crimson in colour with a slight orange hue. This wine has savoury, dried herb, tobacco, wild raspberry and rose petal characters. These characters are also evident on the palate along with firm, dry tannins, bright acidity and great length
Sangiovese This wine is deep crimson and bright in colour. It exhibits a complex and savoury nose of earth, almonds and a mixture of bright and sour cherries. The palate displays juicy, long and savoury characters with fine-grained, dusty tannins.
Syrah These grape varieties were crushed and co-fermented. A bright purple, red coloured wine, this Syrah shows blackberry, raspberry, multi-spice and subtle French oak characters on the nose. The palate exhibits all the previous characters with great length, viscosity and fine-grain tannins
